Freelance Photoshoot in Germany

A photographer connected with me through Instagram if I was willing to work with him. I was still in Bayreuth back then and I managed to squeeze up some time to work for him. We shot these pictures below 5 degrees while the sun was setting. I just kept telling myself that I wasn’t cold and it worked perfectly 🙂 I am busy trying to adapt to  living in another city right now, so I apologise for the lack of updates. Thank you for hanging around!

We wanted to either do sport sportwears or lingerie, but I wasn’t exactly comfortable with lingerie, so we came up with something else. I really enjoyed working with him and it was such a fun and easy shoot. Of course its important to remember that while I am typing this, I have no makeup on and I am decked in my comfortable Bambi Pajamas and geeky glasses 😉

I do miss Bayreuth so much, its not about how big or small the city is, its the people there who love you.

The window seat

Time is always running dry
It hurts how you let it slip by
as you do, so do I.

By the window looking out
Every shadow belongs to you
Searching for answer to my doubt
Came only silence when the promise was due.

Ride me into your darkness, into your eternal night.
In every laughter, a soft echo of weariness and pain.
Tightly against my heart, carrying all the weight.
Never giving up on you, there’s only one straight lane.

Update:  new hair cut but same old soul.

Off shoulder frenzy X Thrift finds series 1

Sorry for the lack of updates, in all honesty i really do this blog for myself so i never truly feel obliged to fulfill or attract more readers. I do this because i enjoy it and i do not have to explain myself further actually. Nevertheless, i have been really busy getting my life back on track after falling ill and also trying my best to have an enriching summer.

Here is a weekend outfit from 2 weeks back while i was on my way to get BLT burgers with my friend who came back from UK.I’m back to the thrift store this summer so i will include one thrifted item in every outfit post if possible this summer.

Thrifted piece : Black Maxi skirt with diagonal thread patterned detail

Vintage : Bag hand down by my mom.

Belt : DIY Ribbon

Off shoulder top ; F21 , Shoes ; Pull & Bear

I cannot get over the off shoulder design, to me it gives out a really feminine vibe and sexy vibe and yet you’re not actually revealing anything indecent.

Spruce up that Crop Top

Summer Activity on Budget

Things you will need : A friend , near empty wallet  and brains.

Summer is here officially, and Valerie came to hang out with me in Hong Kong for a few days. So we went to get a basic piece of crop top from Forever 21 and had a ‘challenge’ to design and spruce it up alittle. We went to the craft street at Shum Shui Po to get our materials. In my opinion i would say, Valerie won the challenge.

We hand sewn everything on because i didn’t know how to operate my flatmate’s sewing machine

Then we took our newly improvised crop top out for a walk! Feeling alittle like spice girls with my choker-like ribbon necklace.

Valerie’s – Mint colored lace on the bottom and added ribbons around the hem of the sleeves.

Mine – Matching choker necklace, the same ribbon lined the shoulder section and the bottom of the crop top. Valerie said mine looked like a uniform.

This little project cost us about 10SGD/ 60HKD  including all materials.

Easter Sunday : Botanical Gardens

Keeping this blog updated is no easy feat,  but right now, i’m left with 2 weeks of school for my 2nd semester and everything is charging ahead in full speed so this space got to wait.

On Easter Sunday Marianne and I finally visited the Botanical & Zoological Garden at Admiralty.

This place is a short 15 minutes walk away from Central Station (Statue Square exit)

We were clad in Easter colors and our own comfortable trusty flats because we were walking around so much and occasionally scalding some mildly steep slopes.

The place was definitely not too crowded even on a public holiday, so this is a place to visit if you wish for a calming outdoor afternoon.

How was your Easter Sunday? I woke up alittle too late for morning church service and so i attended an evening service at St John’s Cathedral instead. In the early afternoon, i made my way slowly to central alone by ferry to meet Marianne.  I walked to the ferry pier at East Tsim Sha Tsui alone from my place and just took my time to marvel and relish the sight of all the buildings and public art on display. Within a short 30mins, quite abit happened, from me dripping orange juice from my sorbet onto my pale mint green skirt to a bunch of Japanese men who took pictures with me randomly. After visiting Botanical Gardens, we headed for church, and St John has one of the best church choirs ever. I daresay that i am a decently experienced and trained choral music listener, and I have to admit that the voices at St Johns blew me away. That’s the little highlight of my Easter Sunday.

Time to head to the shower and get ready for school !
